‘Optimist’ Wins Event # 37 at the WSOP

Greg Hopkins has finally won his first gold bracelet after 13 years of trying at the Event #37 at the WSOP in Las Vegas.

After a number of swings and roundabouts over the poker pro’s career Hopkins was asked what his feelings were after winning the event and the prestigious WSOP gold bracelet Hopkins replied ‘”You have no idea how good this moment feels.”

Hopkins walked away with $296,274 in winnings.

Poker Legend T J Cloutier finished in 11th place. He was 2 spots away from becoming the first person ever to sit at 40 final tables in the WSOP. Currently he and his rival Phil Hellmuth sit on 39 final tables each.
