Ladbrokes Profits Down

14th Aug 2007

Last week Ladbrokes, the UK based betting outfit, have announced the fall in profits in their shareholder report from their online poker room, Ladbrokes Poker. 6 months temporary report has demonstrated the 15% fall in net revenue. This means that the average player stake has dropped from £160 to £144, making the total revenue down by £2.7 million (from £18.4 to £15.7 mil).

This is another demonstration of the ruthless competition in the online poker room market, which is getting tougher by day. Recent reports suggest that Euro centric poker room, Everest Poker, had an influence on the dropping client base.
