A Smart Poker Table

Some students from Perdue University in Indiana have managed to create a poker table that keeps track of where poker chips have been placed on the table.
The new tables have RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology, the table will track the movement of the chips and all the players around the table can access the information through an LCD in front of them. The stats will be recorded a website for future references. "Our project aims to simplify the poker playing experience by providing each player at the table with information about the game in process," the inventors have stated on their web page. This new invention will make the game a lot easier but it will also prevent players from cheating with their chips
