Bodogs New Home
29th August, 2007
Bodog Poker is addressing DNS issues involving its several Web sites, after some problems occurred from a disagreement about the ownership of the domain name – Bodog.com. This is why on a temporary basis all visitors will have to go to the new domain, which is NewBodog.com.
This is what Calvin Ayre, Bodog founder and CEO had to say about it: "We are having difficulties related to our DNS registration, but in little more than 12 hours, nearly all aspects of the Web site have been updated to reflect the environment our clients are accustomed to. We are working to resolve any of the minor remaining glitches on the alternate site, but other than that, it is business as usual."
Nevertheless, some mishaps have already occurred earlier today, when links from pokerListings to the Bodog Poker site were down for a few hours. The issue has been successfully resolved and now gamblers can sign up to play at Bodog through PokerListings.com as usual. Bodog is planning to move back to its original domain as soon as, so the visitors can go back to the original domain as they used to do it before.
Calvin Ayre explained: "We are fighting this dispute and are confident that we will win. I sincerely apologize to any customers affected by our interruption and will continue to provide updates as they become available."
