CapTinBisKuiT wins Full Tilt $750k tourney
25th March, 2008
His moniker may make him sound like a five year-old, but gaming enthusiast CapTinBisKuiT has proven he's no amateur when it comes to winning online poker tournaments.
The mystery gamer beat off competition from a field of 3,784 players - all of whom laid down a hefty $200 buy-in (£100) - to win the Full Tilt Poker $750,000 (£376,000) Guaranteed Texas Hold'Em event.
At the final nine-person poker table, opponent terhahn made short work of two other hopefuls after calling a double all-in with just A-8, only to see two further 8s laid down on the table.
Perhaps riding a little too high on the glory of that double whammy, terhahn followed up his success by joining another three-way all-in - this time packing a seemingly more-auspicious pair of 9s - but losing out GhettoFabolous' pocket queens.
The resilient gamer recovered admirably, however, and within 45 minutes just he and CapTinBisKuiT remained.
Fittingly, yet another all-in from terhahn rounded off the proceedings, leaving CapTinBisKuiT $133,991 better off and affording second-place terhahn a comforting second-place booty of $80,977.
