Carnival Cruise PokerPro Challenge

Carnival Carnival Cruise Lines are the biggest cruise operator in the world. Amongst other awards, their “fun ships” have been voted number one cruise choice in Southern Living Magazine’s annual readers’ poll for two year running. Together with the other members of the World’s Leading Cruise Lines Alliance, Carnival has made a commitment to quality and value to a wide range of people and budgets, and sail to some of the world’s most exciting destinations.
The cruise line have recently announced that they will be running the 2008 Carnival PokerPro Challenge, a series of Texas Hold’em tournaments held on dozens of “Fun Ship” Voyages. The participants will all be playing towards the Grand Final Playoff which will be held during Carnival Fantasy’s October 4th voyage.
The preliminary tournaments will be hosted by select cruise liners through June, with the winners going head to head in the Grand Final Playoff. The tournaments will be played on recently installed automated poker tables. Winners of the first tournaments will receive $750 plus entry to the final, held on their Fantasy fun ship. The prize fund for the Final is $45,000.
