Convicts Playing Poker Solve Crimes for Police

9th November, 2007

It looks like a great discovery: now the convicts are cooperating with the police without even realizing it and with no force involved in the process. In Florida the police have given the inmates around 100,000 decks of playing cards with unsolved crimes printed on them. The inmates get so much into the game that as a result give police some crucial clues about the offenses that occurred sometime in the past or just recently.

Only this week the second case has been solved thanks to the tips revealed by the prisoners while playing this strange variation of poker.

Bryan Curry is one of the freshly coughed convict thanks to the “crime poker”. He killed his ex-girlfriend in 2004. Investigators with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement explained that in this particular case, the man who helped to solve the case shared a cell with Curry before, which came up during the game.
