Duke to manage Ultimate Bet schedule

23rd April, 2008

Poker pro Annie Duke has been selected to manage the new tournament schedule at UltimateBet.com.

The online poker operator chose the California resident because of her decorated career on the circuit, having notched up an incredible 33 money finishes in the World Series of Poker.

Duke also recently appeared in the America reality TV series Best Damn Poker Show - were she went head-to-head with "Poker Brats" Phil Hellmuth in a bid to find the country's next Texas Hold'Em champion.

"Annie Duke has a proven track record of not only playing the game, but also knowing exactly what online poker players want to see in a tournament schedule," commented Ultimate Bet spokesperson George MacLean.

He added: "We're confident that her unparalleled insight will significantly enhance our poker offering and strengthen our online poker community."

The gaming house will launch its news schedule on April 28th, offering $1.2 million (£600,000) in weekly prizes including a brand new $200,000 Guaranteed tournament every Sunday.
