28th September, 2007
We are now on to the third day of the EPT in London which started with a field of 392 and there are a total of 40 players remaining. By the end of day two, there were 142 players remaining at the Grosvenor Victoria Casino. There are many recognizable faces still in the tournament one being no other than Chris Moneymaker who is part of the PokerStars Team. EPTLive will provide free live coverage of the last two days of the event.
Day 2 saw many of the top pros battle it out player such as Daniel Negreanu, Liz Lieu, Barny Boatman. Two of the PokerStars Team players came to battle it out against each other which lead to Chris Moneymaker taking the chip lead. Moneymaker called a pre-flop raise from Age Spets to see a flop of 5-7-2. Moneymaker made a min-raise in which Spets replied with a re-raise. Moneymaker went in all over the top, Spets called with his Aces and moneymaker turned over his Two’s who had flopped a set, the turn came a 2 to make quads for Moneymaker leaving Squats drawing dead and out of the tournament. Daniel Negreanu busted out early on Day 2 when his AQ went against Joseph Mouawed’s Kings with the flop Q-6-2. Daniel was all in but the turn and river offered no escape with 7 Q which actually made Joseph a flush with 4 spades out on the board. There was plenty of other earlier bust outs early on in Day 2, Patrik Antonius, Barny Boatman, Liz Lieu, Mark Vos and Jeffrey Lisandro were all eliminated.
