European Poker Tour Final
25th January, 2010
The European Poker Tour (EPT) in Deauville, France, is now in the final stages and later today the last 8 players will take their seats to compete for the EPT title 2010.
A stand out contender in the final 8 is former WSOP champion, Peter Eastgate. The poker player had brilliant Day 3 and 4 and is considered to be a danger to chip leader Teodor Caraba who has vast experience in big money poker tournaments.
However one player who won’t be pleased with themselves today is final table ‘bubble boy’ Bertrand ‘elky’ Grospellier. He finished ninth place after a consistent display of poker. He walked away with a €51,500 prize.
The final will begin at noon today and we’re sure it will be a fascinating final. Half of the remaining players have an affiliation with Poker stars with Eastgate a ‘stars sponsored pro’ three others qualified through the ‘stars online satellites’.
The final eight will take their seats with the following chip counts:
- Teodor Caraba – 6915000
- Jake Cody – 4650000
- Stephane Albertini – 3555000
- Craig Bergeron – 3135000
- Mike McDonald – 1815000
- Michael Fratty – 1495000
- George Secara – 795000
- Peter Eastgate – 695000
