Everest Poker splashes out on Dream Team

8th April, 2008

Everest Poker has drawn up an elite list of ten online gamers who will be representing the operator on this year's poker circuit.

The online poker website whittled down some 200 qualifiers to a ten-man Dream Team, with each player being handed a colossal $100,000 (£50,000) prize package.

That bounty includes seats at the World Series of Poker (WSOP), the European Poker Tour Grand Final seat, two World Poker Tour events and two European Poker Tour events, as well as $21,000 cash for expenses.

"After two days of interviews, hundreds of poker hands and hours of deliberation by an expert panel of poker celebrities and Everest Poker staff members at the Palais Auersperg in Vienna, the final list of players who will be representing Everest Poker at all the major events in world poker for a whole year can be unveiled," a press release read.

In a surprise move, the operator also generously handed out 20 WSOP prize packages - each worth $3,500 - to the closest runners-up.

The Everest Poker Dream Team includes nationals of France, Germany, Spain, Japan, Portugal, the Netherlands, Italy and Finland.
