Online poker site Full Tilt Poker have been forced to suspend one of their poker pros as they have accused Brian Hastings of breeching his contract in a recent statement he made.

The statement came after Isildur1 lost $4 million on 8-tabling after Brian Hastings hinted that fellow Cardrunner gave information on hand history to help him win. The accusations were officially made after Brian Hastings spoke to ESPN.com about his play explaining that he had Brian Townsend to thank as he supplied 30,000 hands on Isildur1 which helped him to predict the outcome.

Hastings told ESPN.com, “Honestly, I give most of the credit to Brian Townsend here. I mean, Brian is honestly the hardest worker I know in poker. He analyzed a database of heads-up hands that Isildur1 had played and constructed ranges of what Isildur1 was doing in certain spots.”

After this statement, the poker pros contract was examined and it clearly defined that an ‘unfair disadvantage’ was the analysing of a poker players patterns from previous hands that was not personally witnessed.

It is clear from this detail that what Hastings had revealed was against his contract. As a result of the suspension the professional player will not be allowed to take advantage of the 100% rakeback and will not be able to play for one month, also it gives Isildur1 the chance to ask for his money back.

Whilst it may not seem that this is much of a punishment for the millionaire, it is not the first time that something like this has occurred, instead it is the first time that such a large amount of money has been lost which has forced officials to pay attention to it.
