Online poker operator UltimateBet.com is preparing for its biggest ever online poker series which kicks off today and will see a guaranteed pay out of over $2 million (£983,000).

Over a ten-day period, the site will hold its Online Championships (UBOC), which will include 13 online poker events.

Online poker games on offer to gaming enthusiasts include 6-Seat No Limit Hold'em, Pot Limit Omaha, No Limit Hold'em, Limit Hold'em and Pot Limit Omaha 8.

The championships will conclude with a $1,000+50 No Limit Texas Hold'em match with a $750,000 prize pool.

UlitimetBet.com currently has more than two million registered members and was designed with the help of professional poker players Phil Hellmuth and Annie Duke.

This week the site announced that it would be giving its members the unique opportunity of having poker lessons with the two pros.

"UBOC is all about playing like a pro and winning like a champion," said spokesperson George MacLean. "By adding lessons with these legendary poker professionals to the mix, we're elevating the $2 million series to an exciting new level."
