Ladbrokes Poker Attracts the High Rollers
30th October, 2007
It appears that the high rollers are returning to one of the top UK brands, Ladbrokes Poker. According to website databases it appears there has been plenty of action on the $25/$50 and $50/$100 tables at Ladbrokes Poker in the last few days.
The Danish poker player Peter Jespen, who plays under the name of Zupp_3 has been seen winning several big pots at the high stakes table.
The Danish on Sunday got a bit lucky to win a big pot. He was playing in the $50/$100 heads-up No-Limit Hold’em against a player called sidepot. Pre flop the pot was $3000 from a re-raise by sidepot. The flop came 8h 7d 5s in which sidepot bet $1777 which Jespen called. On the turn came Jc which sidepot bet $5000 only to find the Danish to go over the top of him all in for just over $18000 which covered his opponent.
Another Jack came on the river giving Jespen four of kind Jacks, by holding a pair of jacks in his hand and hitting runner-runner. Sidepot turned over a pair of Aces, letting the Danish player take the pot for £37,277.
It is clear to see that Ladbrokes is attracting a full range of players and with a new marketing budget expect Ladbrokes Poker to become a busier and more impressive poker room.
