Magician to host poker tournament

4th January, 2008

A poker tournament which is being hosted by Antonio "The Magician" Esfandiari is set to kick off this weekend at the popular Four Winds Casino in New Buffalo, Michigan.

The event on January 6th is expected to entice poker players from miles around hoping to try their luck against the world poker pro, who in 2004 became the youngest poker player in history to win more than $1 million (504,000) at a major tournament.

The professional magician cashed the huge prize at the LA Poker Classic Main Event held at the Commerce Casino when he was just 29.

Those looking to take part in this weekend's event need to win one of two qualifying tournaments held on the previous day and on the day itself or buy-in directly to the main event for $300.

"We're thrilled that Antonio Esfandiari will bring his world-class poker skill to the Four Winds Casino Resort," said Matt Harkness, Four Winds general manager.

"It's a great opportunity for our players to compete against a world-class talent and with a chance to win $27,500 in prize money."
