Mansion Poker backs anti-fraud drive

14th May, 2008

Online gaming operator Mansion Poker has become the latest poker house to join the global fraud protection network Ethoca.

As well as having a number of online poker operators as members, Ethoca also brings together financial providers and internet retailers in a coalition that aims to stamp out online fraud.

The international network enables online businesses to increase their profitability by sharing information which members can use to distinguish between reliable and disingenuous transactions.

Commenting on his group's decision to sign up to the initiative, Mansion chief executive Guy Gussarsky affirmed that the online poker room was looking to offer "the best possible protection for our members".

"Ethoca's innovative platform for anti-fraud collaboration is unique and allows Mansion.com to benefit from the payment experiences of other companies," he explained. "It is a real breakthrough in fraud management."

Recent research has estimated that online businesses could reclaim as much as £15 billion in foregone annual revenue by improving their fraud management systems.
