Shawn Marion is set to host a charity poker tournament at the end of the month to raise money for a number of charities including the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

The Phoenix Suns sportsman will invite celebrities and poker pros alike to join in the event which is being held at a private venue in Arizona which is only being released to those who have entered.

Jeff Geller, who is helping to organise the event, told the Arizona Republic: "This allows you to sit next to and hang out with stars.

"If you've got a chip and a chair, you're in."

Prizes on offer at the unique tournament include Suns/Spurs floor seats, a trip to the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas, a private jet vacation, celebrity dinners, autographed memorabilia, plasma TVs and tickets to the Super Bowl.

Already confirmed as trying their luck at the felt tables are members of the Suns and San Antonio Spurs, Olympic decathlon star Dan O'Brien, Seinfeld's Patrick Warburton and World Series MVP Jermaine Dye.
