Nancy Todd Tyner scoops WPT Ladies

Nancy Todd Tyner has seen off competition from established poker pros Vanessa Selbst and Van Nguyen to scoop the World Poker Tour Ladies (WPT Ladies) title.
The headstrong political consultant had won her seat at the tournament by entering a ladies-only satellite at the Commerce Casino in Los Angeles.
Speaking to the media after her win, Todd Tyner professed her admiration for Selbst - with whom she was locked in a prolonged head-up battle during the final poker table session.
The newcomer also revealed that she deals with the stress of taking part in high-stakes poker games by drawing from her background in political campaigning.
During her career, Todd Tyner has taken part 196 political campaigns spanning six countries, with her candidates winning an unbelievable 98 per cent of the time.
Her first-place cash prize at the WPT Ladies was a hefty $68,640 (£35,000), while runner-up Selbst bagged $40,815.
