New Advanced Poker course from WSOP Academy
11th April, 2008
The World Series of Poker Academy (WSOP Academy) has confirmed it is to start running a series of advanced poker seminars for would-be professionals.
While the Academy has hosted a number of training courses in the past, this event will mark the first time it focuses solely on teaching Texas Hold'Em theory and strategy at an expert level.
The course will be running April 18th - 19th at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas and will be hosted by such poker luminaries as Andy Bloch, Annie Duke and Phil Gordon. Organisers say it is not suitable for amateurs.
"If you've ever attended a poker camp before or you're a serious student of the game, now is the time to graduate to the next level," commented Jeff Goldenberg of WSOP Academy parent company Post Oak Productions.
"With our team of world-class instructors, our No-Limit Hold'em Advanced Academy is the sure-fire way to elevate your game to new heights."
The merit of the WSOP Academy became evident last year when Sally Ann Boyer made the most of the poker advice she received on the course to bag first place at the WSOP Ladies Event.
