Nuts Poker league launches holiday packages

30th January, 2008

Having succeeded in establishing itself as the UK's most popular pub poker operator, the Nuts Poker League is now moving into the poker holiday market.

Creator Steve Bellis confirmed to the Wrexham Evening Leader that he has teamed up with a Holywell-based holiday provider to launch a new series of foreign trips for poker enthusiasts.

Some 50 gamers jetted off to Costa Teguise, Lanzarote in the first such holiday held last year - and based on the positive feedback received from guests another trip will be organised this June, this time for 120 people.

The main order of the day will be informality and friendliness - staples of the winning formula that has rocketed the league to success since its appearance on Dragon's Den in 2006 - and Mr Bellis confirmed that the focus will once again be on Texas Hold'Em games with cash pools in the region of 100.

He added, however, that the next trip will likely be "closer to home" so as to offer a more relaxed and affordable environment, while still giving gaming fans the opportunity to mix sun and sea with a spot of poker table action.
