Obrestad wins PokerStars Hundred Grand

5th March, 2008

Annette Obrestad has once again proven that she is a dominant force in the online poker world by winning the PokerStars Hundred Grand.

The 19-year-old poker sensation has been making headlines ever since she stormed onto the scene as amateur online player 'Annette_15'.

In 2006 alone the Norwegian superstar won $500,000 (£260,000) on PokerStars, $200,000 on UltimateBet and $136,000 on Full Tilt Poker - before going on to bag the number one spot at the World Series of Poker Europe (WSOP Europe) event last year.

Not content with being crowned the youngest person ever to win a WSOP main event, however, Obrestad has more recently sought to cement her reputation as the world's leading online poker figure.

And having seen off an incredible 20,000 opponents at this year's PokerStars Hundred Grand, the teenager would appear to be well on her way to achieving that goal.

Another big winner on PokerStars last Sunday was 'nordlending' of Norway, who walked away with $100,000 in the PokerStars $5,200 Freezeout tournament.
