PKR 1st B/DAY ever!!!

Since PKR, was launched on August 17, 2006, it gained nearly a million players from around the word that are now registered in their next-generation poker room. This in itself makes the site an established operator in the Internet poker world. PKR was launched as a stand alone operator but thanks to its big marketing campaign and positive word of mouth promotion, it did not take a long time to become popular between online players as well as other operators, despite the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act, that pushed PKR fully out of American market. Over the past year PKR has established itself as one of the top 20 online poker rooms, with nearly 7,500 players playing the game at the same time with a total of $245 million bet in the game in that past year. Nevertheless, entering the second year period, the site has experienced the signs of slowing down, to which the Marketing Director of the company, Simon Prodger, said: “We’re very excited about our first year results and it’s definitely cause for celebration. But we have no intentions of resting on our laurels. PKR has set very aggressive growth targets for the next 12 months and we’re looking forward to even bigger and better things to come.” The celebration of PKR’s b/day was phenomenal, due to a range of special events with $25K in extra prizes, such as a freerol for players who were there on August 17th, 2007 and a $1K added, $1 buy-in tournament for those players who took part in the PKR beta testing program before the big celebration.
