PKR announces return of Super Series

10th May, 2008

Specialist poker operator PKR has confirmed that it will be hosting the second annual Super Series festival, which will kick of June 14th.

The tournament caters for poker players of all different skill levels, incorporating a wide array of buy-ins as well as numerous satellite tournaments for larger events.

Among the new additions to this year’s line are the hotly-anticipated Terminator Tournaments, the long playing Deep and Steep tournaments and the Team PKR Bounty games.

Rounding off proceedings will be the Tournament of Champions, in which the winners of the previous events will be given the opportunity to slug it out for the honour of being crowned series champion.

A special one-off $5,000 (£2,500) Thank You Freeroll will also be staged with the intention of rewarding the top 50 finishers from each of the 12 Super Series events.

PKR Marketing Director Simon Prodger commented: “PKR is known as the home of tournament poker and this second offering of the Super Series further bolsters that claim. The buy-ins make it more accessible and great value compared to other festivals, and there are also many chances to make the final tournament.”

The final tables of all Super Series events will be televised on Sky TV channel 842.
