Pioneering online gaming house PKR has hosted a special charity poker tournament in support of a children's charity.

The 3D online poker room invited celebrities including Jamie Oliver and Teddy Sheringham to take part in the event, which raised funds for the One to One Children's Fund.

To give an added sense of excitement to the event, World Series of Poker Europe runner-up John Tabatabai also took part in the 365 buy-in event at London's Sketch restaurant.

Overall some 200,000 was raised for the children's charity, with contestants also enjoying a champagne reception and having the option of partaking in a concurrent backgammon tournament.

"It was a fantastic night for everyone involved and good to see so many people contributing towards such an important cause," commented PKR marketing manager Erika Schwartz.

First place in the poker event went to Leticia White, daughter of renowned chef Marco Pierre White, who also bagged 4,000 in cash for taking down several celebrity bounties.
