Poker Royalty signs Bill Edler

17th March, 2008

Rising poker star Bill Edler has been signed by one of the world's leading poker agencies, Poker Royalty.

Up until he took home a gold bracelet at the 2007 World Series of Poker in the Six-Handed No-Limit Texas Hold'Em Championship, Edler had largely failed to drum up any major successes on the circuit.

But with that accolade under his belt - not to mention the $900,000 (£450,000) prize that came with it - the Las Vegas resident has begun attracting ever-increasing amounts of attention.

Commenting on the new deal with Poker Royalty, Edler spoke enthusiastically about the new partnership, which comes alongside a sponsorship deal with Full Tilt Poker as well as an invitation to the 2008 National Heads-Up Poker Championship.

"It is an honour to be represented by Poker Royalty. They are, of course, on top of the profession," PokerListings.com quoted Edler as saying. "In addition, it is a fantastic group of my friends who work at Poker Royalty. I could not be more pleased."

A Poker Royalty spokesman added his belief that the agency's latest signing had a "very bright future ahead of him".
