PokerNews hosts Austria cup freerolls

Keen poker players have the chance to win their way to the first ever PokerNews Cup on European shores.

PokerNews is offering the best European poker players the chance to scoop one of eleven 1,500 euro (£1,180) PokerNews Cup Austria Packages.

These include buy-ins to the 650 euro main event - taking place on April 23rd to 27th - and a further 850 euros in cash for travel and accommodation.

Sites such as Full Tilt Poker, PokerStars, Everest Poker, T6 Poker and Duplicate Poker are all offering players the chance to pick up the freerolls to the event, with competitions taking place from the end of March until April 8th.

Players generally have to earn a certain number of points prior to the freerolls to be eligible to play.

For exampleanyone wanting to enter the PokerStars freeroll need to download PokerStars through the links on PokerNews, sign up a new account and make a deposit. They must then earn 100 VPPs within a specified time frame.

A statement on the pokernews.com site added: "Good news! All existing account holders with the above online poker rooms are more than welcome to compete provided you originally signed up through PokerNews and have fulfilled all other entry requirements."
