Rangers Star Plays Poker With The Police

2nd March, 2010

After taking a beating in a Glaswegian scrap on Saturday night, taking revenge is a common course of action and with Rangers Goalkeeper, Allan McGregor took to the virtual felt he certainly meant business!

The bruised and battered shot stopper decided to take to the online poker tables to let off some steam despite being questioned by police at the same time! When the police arrived at McGregor’s house to question the footballer, the player didn’t miss one bet and continued to play online poker whilst answering their questions about the incident.

The brawl was apparently about the player sending provocative text messages to poker babe Kellyann Heffernan, however both McGregor and his fiancée, Leah Shevlin, deny the incident.

McGregor has always taken a huge interest in online poker with his passion fueled by ex girlfriend and semi professional poker player Bronwyn Campbell. Lots of sports stars are fans of the poker game, donating vast sums of money at high stakes tables. Players such as tennis star Boris Becker and snooker player Steve Davis are professionally sponsored players.

If Allan McGregor ended his online gaming session with the police in profit is so far unknown. However, if he plays cards like he stops shots then not many bluffs will get past him!
