Russell Crow Removes Poker Machines

Russell Crowe the Australian actor has come out against poker machines in a club, where Russell is part owner and successfully lobbied for the machines’ recent removal. Russell requested that 60 poker machines where to be removed from his part owned club, his partner being Peter Holmes. Russell’s thoughts lay behind the area has a low income area and by removing poker machines from an area that had too many. The machines brought in 1.7 million a year for the South Sydney National Rugby League club.
