Simon Poker Day Raises Money for the Homeless

The Simon Poker Day which was held as part of the Poker Stars EPT in Dublin. The tournament attracted 162 players to the event on 3rd November. The following donations where made:

Tournament: EUR 16,200

Jackpot Club: EUR 1,620

Players Donations: EUR 13,280

'Mad' Marty Wilson's auctions: EUR 2,656

Green Joker Poker: EUR 600

Fortune Rooms: EUR 1,660 and GBP 2,120

Paddy Power Poker: EUR 3,000

This brings the total collected so far to EUR 39,016 they should expect several significant donations still to be included in the EPT Monte Carlo and Irish Poker Championship seats and several corporate and individual pledges. The event involved players from across Ireland and the UK as well as a few Europeans. Last years winner Noel Furlong was knocked out at an early stage but snooker legend Ken Doherty and also a former Irish football player Tony Cascarino both cashed.

The winner was Pat Storan a Waterford man who won 10,690
