Swede tops Bet365.com Leader Board

An amateur poker player from Sweden has finished top of the Bet365 Poker Leader Board Challenge.
Cecilia Borg, 22, now has the chance of starting a lucrative professional career after winning guaranteed seats at every iPoker-sponsored land-based European Poker Tour and (EPT) World Poker Tour (WPT) event in 2008.
Despite admitting she was more used to playing $20 (£10) sit-and-go online tournaments from her living room than competing against professionals, the student teacher from Vasterbotten could barely contain her excitement over the achievement.
"I can't wait to play in Monte Carlo, Barcelona and London," said a beaming Ms Borg. "I haven't travelled that much so it really is exciting."
When asked about whether or not she will be taking a detour from teaching in order to focus on developing her poker skills, a coy Borg simply replied: "We will have to wait and see."
The Poker Leader Board Challenge is one of Bet365's biggest events, featuring a prize pool of some $130,000 and offering players the chance to win numerous seats on EPT and WPT events.
