The PKR Masters
14th February, 2008
The introduction of the new PKR Masters will provide players with the biggest prize pool PKR have ever used. Their weekly tournament, PKR Saturday Night had a prize of $10,000, a sum not to be sniffed at but the new Masters tournament offers a possible prize fund of $75,000.
The online poker tournament will be held monthly on the last Saturday and aims to increase it's prize pool as it's customer base grows.
The tournament, with a minimum first prize of at least $18,000, will allow players to start with a 5,000 chip stack for a buy-in price of $250. Players will progress through the tournament, through 20 minute clock and broader blind structures, towards a possible prize pool of $75,000.
PKR, founded only three years ago, has already provided it's president, Jez San an OBE for services to the computer games industry and now aims to provide players new levels of realism in their online poker through their "stunning real-time 3D graphics and uniquely engaging and immersive gaming system".
