Titan Poker in $100k Omaha giveaway
11th April, 2008
Online gaming operator Titan Poker has confirmed that it awarded $100,000 (£50,000) to Omaha pot-limit players over the past two months.
Dubbing the giveaway the Omaholics Promotion, the Kahnawake-licensed site revealed that $40,000 went to the highest ranked players at the end of February while $60,000 was given away at the end of March.
Omaha enthusiasts who play online poker with the operator were ranked on leader-boards according to the number of raked hands they played during the limited promotional period.
Every player who topped one of its boards was subsequently awarded a cash payout at the end of the month, with the promotion attracting hundreds of dedicated fans of Texas Hold'Em's more perplexing cousin.
Titan Poker has earned a reputation for giving away generous prizes to its members, having already scheduled qualifying tournaments for this year's World Series of Poker 2008 and World Poker Showdown.
