Two new online poker sites for Asia
5th March, 2008
It has been confirmed that online and land-based gaming company AsianLogic is to team up with Fortune Bid Holdings BVI in launching two new online poker rooms for gamers on the continent.
Asian Logic confirmed that the first poker website, DirtyStackPoker.com, will be unveiled during the second quarter of this year by its ESL subsidiary. A second, as-yet unnamed, site will also be launched around the same time.
Both virtual poker rooms will be powered by Playtech's iPoker platform and the Hong Kong-based firm said they will be tailored to different types of players, without giving any precise details.
John Cislowski, president of Fortune Bid, explained that a partnership had been in the offing for some time and he said that the combined efforts of the two companies would allow both firms to take their market presence "to another level".
Asian Logic head Chris Parker, meanwhile, noted his counterpart's experience in redirecting players towards independent gaming sites and he expressed optimism over embracing that expertise to create a "highly successful venture".
Two weeks ago AsianLogic purchased the rights to the Asian Poker Tour and the Korean Professional Poker Tour.
