VCPoker to expand European Poker Champs
10th March, 2008
Last year's inaugural European Championship of Online Poker (Ecoop) proved to be such a success that VCPoker.com has confirmed it will be expanding the tournament this time round.
The online poker operator said that Ecoop II would feature a larger prize pool and could be expected to attract more players than ever before given the positive feedback from last year's event.
Satellites for the Texas Hold'Em poker game will began last week and will be running up until the main event gets underway on May 25th, giving gamers the chance to earn a slot at the event without forking out for a full buy-in
The main events will be split between No Limit and Limit Texas Hold'Em, Pot Limit Omaha and Omaha High-Low - and prize pools will range from $100,000 (£50,000) to $1.5 million, drawing from a total guaranteed pot of $3.6 million.
All of the top 100 players for each main event will also be awarded a seat in an exclusive $50,000 MVP Freeroll which will see one gamer being crowned the 2008 Ecoop II Most Valuable Player.
