WSOP Bracelet Sold On eBay!

People turn to popular online auction site eBay for all sorts of bargains, however recently it seems a one of a kind item was sold at the site which has stirred up lots of publicity. T.J Clouter, the World Series of Poker bracelet holder and professional poker player pawned his 2005 WSOP bracelet which was recently auctioned on eBay by Plano pawn shop.

A WSOP bracelet recognizes players as champions and is the ultimate goal for all poker players. Clouter has won 6 WSOP bracelets, his most recent being the infamous 2005 bracelet which he won in the $5,000 NL hold ‘em event.

It seems that the bracelet was pawned and Mr Clouter failed to pick up the item on time so the shop sold it on eBay in addition to another 2007 Scotty Nguyen Poker Challenge bracelet Clouter won in 2007.

In the end the auction was closed at $4,006 after much publicity, the winner was later revealed to be Cake Poker. The online poker site has announced that they will return the bracelet to Mr. Clouter, once they are done ‘having some fun with it’.

Poker site, Wicked Chops Poker contacted clouter to discover why he pawned the bracelet in the first place and he said that he was short of money and had intended to pay the loan back in full but arrived too late. Speculation has been building with rumours suggesting that as a keen gambler he may have been left needing money after a bad run at the tables.
