World Cup of Poker (WCP) and World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) 2007

This month (July), qualifying begins as Poker Stars hosts the fourth World Cup of Poker (WCP) and the sixth World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP), the prestige event on the online poker calendar, begins.

National prise is at stake as the World Cup of Poker IV pits the worlds best poker teams against eachother eachother as they fight for the crown of World Poker Champions and a share of the $250,000 prize pool. And you have the chance of qualifying for your national team!

To compete in WCP IV you must first qualify for your country’s team, in which four spots are up for grabs. Qualifying beings on the 12th of July at Poker Stars and even better, it’s completely free to enter!

If your fancy pitting your poker skills against the rest of the world then Poker Stars are also hosting the sixth World Championship of Online Poker!

WCOOP 2007 is the biggest event yet, with a guarenteed prize pool of $5,000,000 for the main event alone. Boasting 23 events, WCOOP 2007 offers a combine guarenteed prize pool of $15,000,000. Last year, J.C Train won the main event, beating 2,510 players and pocketing more that $600,000.
